The South Central Flyers had two players recognized for their efforts this season, as sophomore goaltender Ilamay Draheim and senior defenseman Katlyn Schueler were named to the 2024-2025 Big South Conference All-Conference Girls Hockey Team. Their strong performances stood out for the Flyers.

Ilamay Draheim – Sophomore Goaltender

Draheim had an impressive season in goal, facing heavy pressure in 27 games played. She logged 1,402 minutes and 52 seconds on the ice, facing 1,320 shots and making 1,241 saves. Her efforts resulted in a .940 save percentage and a 2.87 goals-against average (GAA), making her one of the top goaltenders in the conference.

Draheim managed 10 wins, 16 losses, and one tie, along with three shutouts. Her ability to handle high shot volumes and keep her team competitive in difficult matchups made her a deserving All-Conference selection.

Katlyn Schueler – Senior Defenseman

Schueler provided stability on defense while also contributing offensively. Over 27 games, she recorded 14 goals and 8 assists, totaling 22 points.

Her offensive production included four power-play goals and four power-play assists, along with two game-winning goals. Schueler’s contributions on both ends of the ice were key to keeping the Flyers competitive, earning her a well-deserved spot on the All-Conference team.

The recognition of Draheim and Schueler highlights their individual success in the inaugural season for the Flyers. Their performances kept the team in many close games and showcased their dedication to the sport.

With Draheim set to return next season, the Flyers will look to build on her experience in goal. Schueler’s leadership and play will be missed, but her impact on the program will not be forgotten.
